Rainbow Drop-in – All Ages which will be held at Rainbow Hub Waikato, Level 1, 36 Bryce Street every Monday night during the school term from 3:30pm – 6:30pm.

Rainbow Drop-in – All Ages is for anyone who identifies as part of the Takataapui, MVPFAFF+, Rainbow, Queer or LGBTTQIA+ community.

Whether you’ve figured out who you are or you’re on a journey, this is a space for all sex, gender and sexually diverse people, as well as allies and support people.
To attend you must be 13 years of age, or if under 13 you can come along with a parent, caregiver or guardian. This is a safe space for all where we value all people.

If you’re keen to connect with your community, play some games, grab some free clothes, check out a book, create some art or just enjoy a nice hot drink, this space is for you.

Whaanau Support Drop-in which will be held at Rainbow Hub Waikato, Level 1, 36 Bryce street every Tuesday night during the school term from 4:30pm – 6:30pm.

Are you a parent, caregiver, guardian, support worker, or whaanau member supporting a member of the rainbow community? Then our whaanau support drop-in is a space to come along, connect and get support.

For people who are sex, gender, or sexually diverse, exploring their identity can be tricky to navigate and a challenging journey at times. Our goal is to make that a little easier.
We also know the same goes for their whaanau who don’t always know what to say or how to show support. This group is designed to connect with others on the same journey and get some guidance.

Children and young people are welcome, however please note they must be under the supervision of the parent, caregiver, guardian, whaanau member, or support worker that they come with.

Poipoia Te Rito – Nurturing young Takataapui growth and resilience.
Poipoia Te Rito is delivered as an in-person group that runs every Tuesday from 5:00pm – 7:00pm in our event space and is facilitated by our Te Ao Maaori Programme Coordinators and Facilitators. This is a space to learn about wellbeing from a Matauranga Maaori lense and connect with like minded whaanau.

Do you identify as Takataapui or are you a member of the rainbow community who would like to learn about Takataapuitanga? Are you aged between 13-25? Are you interested in being part of a programme that will focus on your mental health, wellbeing and resilience? Then Poipoia Te Rito could be the programme for you!

You can come to a session to feel out if it’s the right fit for you, or come along every week as we journey through Te Whare Tapa Whaa and its influence on our wellbeing. If you have any queries, would like to express your interest or if you’d like to register simply email us at: [email protected]

Rainbow Regional Connect which will be a pop-up community drop-in session throughout the Waikato on Wednesdays during the school term from 4:00pm – 5:00pm.

We understand that accessing services that are located in Hamilton can be a struggle for a lot of people, which is why our team is keen to come to you and meet you where you’re at, in your community.
Creating safe spaces for the rainbow community to be themselves, connect, get support and have validating experiences is so important to us, and we want to be able to bring that to you. These pop-up events will be a chance to connect with our team, get social support and maybe even enjoy a board game together. We’re open to do what best suits your needs in your space.

Rainbow Drop-in – 30(ish)+ is for anyone who identifies as part of the Takataapui, MVPFAFF+, Rainbow, Queer or LGBTTQIA+ community.

To attend you must be 30(ish)+ years of age. The purpose of this kaupapa is to help ensure that anyone who doesn’t identify as a youth has a safe space to connect with their community.

If you’re keen to connect with your community, play some games, grab some free clothes, check out a book, create some art or just enjoy a nice hot drink, this space is for you.

Community Open Space which will be held at Rainbow Hub Waikato, level 1, 36 Bryce Street every Friday afternoon during the school term from 1:00pm – 4:00pm.

Community Open Space is an opportunity for community members, whether you identify as part of the rainbow community or not to come along, check out our space and connect with our team.
Rainbow Hub has some great services available including a free community wardrobe where you can take clothing, and a community library where you can access queer literature.

We have a quiet space where you can chill out and read a book or do some art work, as well as a community lounge where you can have a nice hot cuppa and connect with new people.

We also have accessible free products you can take such as safe sex products, disposable and reusable period products and hygiene products which are all free and discreetly accessible. The only requirement to come along is to show kindness, respect and be supportive.

Takataapui & MVPFAFF+ Drop-in which will be held at Rainbow Hub Waikato, level 1, 36 Bryce Street every Friday evening during the school term from 4:30pm – 6:30pm

This space is for our Takataapui & MVPFAFF+ whaanau who identify as or are members of the rainbow community and want a safe space to be their true authentic selves.

If you are Maaori or Pasifika, and identify as queer/rainbow/ Takataapui/MVPFAFF+, then this is your space to connect in a supportive and culturally connecting space.

To attend you must be 13 years of age, or if under 13 you can come along with a parent, caregiver or guardian. This is a safe space for all where we value all people.

Come along and connect with like minded people, over kai, coffee, and koorero, check out our community wardrobe, play some board games or chill in our quiet space.
